Now, when we publish blog posts via our Webflow CMS, the publish date is automatically pulled from a dedicated field in our system — making our articles easier to reference and keeping content fresh for readers. No more forgetting to manually update dates or showing outdated content!

🛠 How We Did It

Using Webflow’s powerful CMS, we created a custom Date/Time field in our Blog Posts collection called Publish Date. Then we:

1. Dropped a Text Block inside our CMS Collection List Item.
2. Bound it dynamically to the Publish Date field using the “Get text from” option.
3. Styled it to match the visual tone of our brand.

If you're managing your own content in Webflow and not seeing the dynamic date option, make sure:

• The Text Block is inside a Collection Item
• You're using a Text element, not a Div
• Your custom field is of type Date/Time and filled in
